man, there's always a bunch of muscle cars at the track and some are running fine and only pulling 11's and 12's. It's funny that they flatbed them in and they're setup for nothing but 1/4. They look at our cars and know the Z's would run circles around them in turns, look sweet, twice the gas mileage, and 10 times the luxory. THEN, they see us running 12's from the motor, turbos, and injectors it comes from the factory with and a full leather interior. I doubt any of them in their right mind are saying the Z is is not a contender at the strip. Sure, in most of our setups, it's not pro class, but then again, we don't need any Special Olympics to actually compete. All basically most of use our doing is tuning it from the factory. Increasing the boost, airflow, and freeing more power. Same as advancing the timing and doing gears in the Vettes. Compare a 1990 Vette, Mustang, or any F-Body with my 1990 TTZ. Mod the all of them with gears, ingition system, fuel controller, timing controller, lightened driveline, suspension, and throw some drag radials on it. That's equal to the mods on my same year car. You don't think my Z will have a chance? Just because someone puts a huge NOS shot and supercharger on their Mustang and can get 20K miles before everything has to be rebuilt don't mean everyone does that. Go to the track, you'll see most don't go to that extreme.
